    I’m not too keen on this design. The top doesn’t actually lock on; it just sits there held by the pressure of the pump tap.

    And there’s this weird floating red plastic indicator to show the water level. It rises from the bowl into the tap, but to see it, I have to squat down low. Kinda pointless, imho.

    Plus, it only comes with one filter. Meh.

    I’ve only had this cat fountain for a bit, but I’m really happy with it. Just one thing to keep in mind: if the water pump fails or the power goes out for a while, the water won’t circulate. Could be a problem if you leave your cat alone for a long time.

    I like the size and function of this fountain. The design has some cool features, like the water level indicator rod. It’s a solid 5-star design, but the execution could be better.

    I gave 3 stars because reassembling it after cleaning is a pain. The water level rod doesn’t stay put, making it tricky to line up the water tube. I usually leave the rod off, but it’s still a challenge to put back together. Just needs a few design tweaks.

    The good: My cat finally drinks from this instead of the faucet! Tried all kinds of bowls, but he liked this fountain best.
